A party for Khmer Happy New Year and Welcome new Cambodian students

On April 12, Cambodian students at Chonnam National University (CNU) celebrated a party for Khmer Happy New Year and welcome new Cambodian students at a restaurant and CNU campus. There are three Cambodian students just arrived at CNU on April 11, including Mr. Chum Puthy Roath, Miss Nguon Vatha Bopharath, and Mr. Phan Veasna.

Cambodian students attented Dr. Eun-Joo Lee's wedding

Dr. Eun-Joo Lee got married on March 1st, 2008 at Shinan Church in Gwangju city. There are many people attended in her wedding ceremony including three Cambodian students at CNU, Mr. Huon Thavrak, Mr. Yoeun Sereyvath and Mr. Sar Kinal.

There are many people joined a dinner party for Korean Happy New Year (Feb. 6-8, 2008) that celebrated by Mr. Sung-Mo Kim, Chairman of Red Mountain Company, on February 5, 2008 at Chinese Family Restaurant (복건껑). Prof. Dr. Joon-Keun Park, Mr. Sun-Woo Choi, Mr. Suk-Bong Kim, Mr. Chae-Ok Kim, Vice dean (prof. Dr. Ki-Wan An) of college of Agriculture and Life Sciences at Chonnam National University (CNU), Korean people, Chinese students, Vietamese students and Cambodian students also attented in the party.

A dinner party for Mr. Ty Sansouci visiting Cambodia

Mr. Ty Sansouci and his girlfriend are going to visit Cambodia on January 15 to February 14, 2008. So, all Cambodian students at Chonnam National University celebrated a dinner party for him and his girlfriend on January 13, 2007.

A party for new year 2008!

There are many people joined a party for new year 2008 that celebrated by Mr. Sung-Mo Kim, Chairman of Red Mountain Company, on December 31, 2007 from 7:00 pm at Prado Hotel. Professor Dr. Joon-keun Park, Mr. Sun-Woo Choi, Mr. Chae-Ok Kim, Mr. Suk-Bong Kim, Chinese students and Cambodian students at Chonnam National University also attented in the party. The Cambodian students and Chinese students received gift (50,000 won/each) from Mr. Sung-Mo Kim too.

Congratulations to Dr. Chhay Kongkea & Mr. Huon Thavrak

The Cambodian Student Association (CNU-CSA) at Chonnam National University is very happy and congratulates Dr. Chhay Kongkea (alumnus of CNU-CSA) for his position as vice dean of Faculty of Agricultural Economics and Rural Development, Royal University of Agriculture (RUA) in Cambodia, and Mr. Huon Thavrak (vice president of CNU-CSA) for his position as vice dean of Graduate School of RUA in Cambodia. Dr. Chhay Kongkea and Mr. Huon Thavrak have been appointed since December 6th, 2007 by H.E. Dr. Chan Sarun (Minister of Ministry of Agriculture Forestry and Fisheries) represents the Royal Government of Cambodia.
