About CNU-CSA

The Cambodian Student Association at Chonnam National University (CNU-CSA) is a group of Cambodian students who study at Chonnam National University in Gwangjy City, South Korea. CNU-CSA is an independent association and does not adopt aims or objectives of the General Student Council at Chonnam National University. It also does not represent any political ideologies either inside or outside Korea.

AIMS

The association was established for the main purposes as below:

1. Serves the Cambodian student community at Chonnam National University.


2. Promotes interactions and understanding between Cambodian students at Chonnam National University and all students.


3. Provides assistance to all Cambodian students with a goal toward higher education.


4. Promotes, preserves, and shares the Khmer culture to all the people around the world.

HISTORY

• 06 November 2011: The CNU-CSA was reformed to CSA-GWANGJU by committee member with the agreement of the acting members.

• 24 September 2011: The fifth committee members of CNU-CSA was elected to Mr. PHAN Kongkea (President) and Mr. NGUON Sovannarith (Vice President). A General Secretary (Mr. YEN Sophearith) was appointed by Mr. President.

• 11 September 2010: Korean Language Center of CNU-CSA was found.

• 29 August 2010: The Fourth election for the president (Mr. YOEUN Sereyvath) and vice president (Mr. PHAN Kongkea) of CNU-CSA, and the General Secretary of CNU-CSA (Mr. NOP Sophea Donang) appointed by Mr. President.

• 29 January 2010: The first honorary member (Mr. PHAN Kongkea) was accepted by Mr. HUON Thavrak, a president of CNU-CSA.


• 26 February 2009: The Third election for the president (Mr. HUON Thavrak) and vice president (Mr. YOEUN Sereyvath) of CNU-CSA, and the General Secretary of CNU-CSA (Mr. TY Sansouci) appointed by Mr. President. [ Photo of the 3rd Committee ]


• 20 August 2007: The second election for the president (Mr. KHAY Sathya) and vice president (Mr. HUON Thavrak) of CNU-CSA, and the second treasurer of CNU-CSA (Mr. YOEUN Sereyvath) appointed by Mr. President. [ Photo of the 2nd Committee ]


• 21 May 2006: The first treasurer of CNU-CSA (Mr. CHEA Sopheak Makara) appointed by Mr. President of CNU-CSA.


• 19 March 2006: The first election for the president (Mr. MAO Sopheareth) and vice president (Mr. HUON Thavrak) of CNU-CSA. [ Photo of the 1st Committee ]


• 25 June 2005: Cambodian Student Associaton at Chonnam National University (CNU-CSA).


• 06 June 2004: Cambodian Student Group at Chonnam National University (CNU-CSG).
