A summary of the monthly meeting [Nov 06, 2011]
The fifth committee of CNU-CSA organized a monthly meeting on the 6th of November, 2011. The meeting was started after a great dinner (Cambodian Curry) at Mr. Sereyvath’s apartment, in which it was discussed on two issues (1) Preparation of Culture Night at GIST campus on the 11th of November, 2011. (2) Request of reforming CNU-CSA to CSA-GWANGJU. The meeting was conducted with participation from all acting members of CNU-CSA. After an hour discussion, we have approached to a couple of plans as follows:
1) CAMBODIA will prepare only country booth on Culture Night. This is due to the schedule is on Friday, thus our members will not have enough time to prepare for any performance. The Culture Night programme will start from 4:00 P.M. However, the booth decoration will need to be ready for evaluating by 2:00 P.M. We then came up with a preparation of country booth only.
2) All acting members of CNU-CSA have approved on reforming CNU-CSA to CSA-GWANGJU in order to (1) extend and localize an existing CSA in Gwangju city for a better communication among CSA-Korea in the near future. (2) CSA-GWANGJU will be belonged to all Cambodian students in Gwangju city and those in the nearby regions. (3) CSA-GWANGJU will definitely continue supporting all existing projects and will incorporate a new Cambodian Project for our children in the rural community.
In this occasion, Mr. President personally donated 100,000 KRW (100 USD) to the association to launch a new Cambodia Project. Finally, the meeting was closed with a remark from Mr. President. He would like to say thank you to all members for their efforts for the smooth progresses of CSA. Moreover, he would like to express a special thank to Mr. Sereyvath and Mr. Veasna, who dedicated to cooking Khmer food for all members of CSA-GWANGJU.
