Final presentation to defense thesis

There are five Cambodian students at Chonnam National University are going to graduate in this coming winter on February, 2009. So, this month and next month are the time for them to present their thesis.

Mr. KHAY Sathya has presented his Ph.D thesis entitled: "Method Developments and Determinations of Xenobiotic Residues in Foodstuffs" on November 7th, 2008 at Building 4, College of Agriculture and Life Sciences.

There are two Cambodian students are going to present their Master's thesis on on November 10th, 2008 at Building 4, College of Agriculture and Life Sciences. Ms. TAING Sreiny is going to present her Master's thesis entitled: "Method Establishment and Residue Determination of Isocarbophos in Pepper, Chinese cabbage, Apple, Brown rice and Soybean using GC-FPD." Mr. HEM Lina is going to present his Master's thesis entitled: "Study on dissipation pattern of acrinathrin, dinotefuran, fenhexamid, methoxyfenozide, and tetradifon on/in pepper grown under greenhouse condition."

Mr. SAR Kinal is going to present his Master's thesis entitled: "The Journey of Korean Investors toward Cambodia" on December 10th, 2008 at College of Business and Administration.

Ms. CHHAY Sreyleak is going to present her Master's thesis entitled: "A Study on the Development Direction of Cassava Industry in Cambodia" on December 1st, 2008 at Building 4, College of Agriculture and Life Sciences.

Congratulations to Professor Dr. Soo-Myung Choi

The Cambodian Student Association at Chonnam National University is very happy and congratulates Professor Dr. Soo-Myung Choi for his election as Dean of College of Agriculture and Life Sciences (CALS), Chonnam National University. Dr. Soo-Myung Choi is the professor of Rural Planning in Department of Biosystems and Agricultural Engineering. He is serving as the 28th Dean of CALS for 2 years from September, 2008.

Chonnam National University Festival 2008

Cambodian students at Chonnam National University (CNU) were attended CNU Festival on September 30, 2008. In the ceremony, Mr. TY Sansouci was performed as a groom in Korean traditional wedding show with his girlfriend as a bride. Mr. YOEUN Sereyvath and Mr. CHUM Puthy Roath were showed Cambodian traditional clothes, Sampot Kben.

On the other hand, Mr. NOP Sophea Donang is also going to dance with his dancing group tomorrow, the 2nd day of CNU festival too.

Mr. SAR Kinal gets an internship at Daishin Securities Company

Mr. SAR Kinal is going to Seoul on Saturday in this week for his internship at Daishin Securities Company. He will start his internship on August 25, 2008 for two months in order to get some experience in terms of stock market from the company and fulfill his MBA degree requirements. All Cambodian students at Chonnam National University made a night party for Mr. SAR Kinal on August 22, 2008. We enjoyed eating chicken porridge and watermelon together.

Congratulations to Professor Dr. Yoon-Soo Kim

The Cambodian Student Association at Chonnam National University (CNU) is very happy and congratulates Professor Dr. Yoon-Soo Kim for his election as the 18th president of Chonnam National University. Dr. Yoon-Soo Kim is a professor in the Major of Wood Science and Engineering, Division of Forest Resources and Landscape Architecture, College of Agriculture and Life Sciences. He will be president of CNU for 4 years from August 17, 2008.

Congratulations to Dr. Mao Sopheareth

The Cambodian Student Association (CNU-CSA) at Chonnam National University is very happy and congratulates Dr. Mao Sopheareth (Former president of CNU-CSA) for his news position as Dean of Faculty of Agro-Industry, Royal University of Agriculture in Cambodia. Dr. Mao Sopheareth have been appointed as dean by Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, Prime Minister of the Royal Government of Cambodia, since July, 2008.
