Mr. Kong Chakrya is not a member of CNU-CSA

According to his requests, Mr. Kong Chakrya is not a member of CNU-CSA now. Mr. Kong Chakrya is studying Bachelor degree (1st year) in Department of English Language and Literature, Chonnam National University now. CNU-CSA is so sad that he decised to leave the association because CNU-CSA is a group of Cambodia students who study at Chonnam National University in Gwangju city, South Korea.

4 Cambodian students attended Mr. Sung-Mo Kim's son wedding

There are four Cambodian students at CNU attended Mr. Sung-Mo Kim's son wedding ceremony on November 3, 2007 in Seoul. They are Mr. Yoeun Sereyvath, Mr. Kong Chakrya, Ms. Taing Sreiny, and Ms. Chhay Sreyleak.

2007 International Symposium on Plant Stress and Metabolism

Mr. Huon Thavrak and Mr. Yoeun Sereyvath are going to attend the 2007 International Symposium on Plant Stress and Metabolism & Annual Meeting of the KSABC (Korean Society for Applied Biological Chemistry) to be held in Gyeongju, South Korea from 11th to 13th of October, 2007. Their lab-mate and them will bring three posters to participate in the symposium too.

On the other hand, Mr. Hem Lina and Ms. Taing Sreiny are also going to attend the symposium with their two posters.

Visiting Asian culture complex information center

The foreigner students at Chonnam National University visited Asian culture complex information center in Gwangju city on September 22, 2007. We saw drawing, Korean folk performance, Korean Magic show, Korean breakdance show; played Korean folk games; and wore Korean traditonal dresses. The foreigner students are Bangladeshes, Chinese, Indian, Uzbeck, Vietnamese, and Cambodian students such as Mr. Huon Thavrak, Mr. Yoeun Sereyvath, Mr. Sar Kinal, Mr. Kong Chakrya, Mr. Nop Sophea Donang, Ms. Taing Sreiny, and Ms. Chhay Sreyleak.

CNU Festival 2007

Chonnam National University celebrated the University Festival on September 19-21, 2007. In the festival, the foreigner students also joined and showed their culture on September 20, such as Bangladesh culture, Cambodian culture, Chinaese culture, Indian culture, and Vietnamese culture. For Cambodian culture, the Cambodian students danced the Cambodian folk dances (Ramvang, Saravan, Madison) and showed Cambodian traditional clothes (Sampot Aov Hol Phamuong, Krama Suth, and Khoal Cheav).

Gyeongju World Culture Expo 2007



Gyeongju World Culture Expo 2007 was organized by the Gyeongsangbuk-do Province in Gyeongju, South Korea on September 7-26, 2007. This ceremony has Cambodian folk performance too. On September 9th, H.E Thong Khon, Minister of Ministry of Tourism and representative of the Cambodian Government, gave a speech to open "Cambodia Cultural Day". There are many people participated and watched the Cambodian folk performance at that day including Cambodian students at Chonnam National University such as Mr. Huon Thavrak, Mr. Yoeun Sereyvath, Mr. Sar Kinal, and Mr. Nop Sophea Donang.

Dr. Mao Sopheareth and Miss Ly Dalin Bye-Bye South Korea

Dr. Mao Sopheareth and Miss Ly Dalin turn back to Cambodia on August 25, 2007 after graduation ceremony one day. They left Gwangju city to Incheon International Airport by bus at 11:30 am, and left South Korea to Cambodia from Incheon International Airport by airplane at 7:30 pm.
