H.E. Dr. Chan Sarun has received Honorary Ph.D
H.E. Dr. Chan Sarun, Minister of Ministry of Agriculture Forestry and Fisheries in Cambodia, has received Honorary Ph.D in Agriculture from Chonnam National University given by President of CNU, Professor Dr. Kang Jung-chaee, on April 26, 2007 at CNU. We, Cambodian students at CNU, are very happy and say congratulate to H.E. Dr. Chan Sarun for his Honorary Ph.D award.
On the other hand, during stay in South Korea from April 25-27, 2007, H.E Dr. Chan Sarun visited some places such as Jeollanam-do Agricultural Research and Extension Institute, Environment-friendly Cultivating Farm (Tomato, Pumpkin and Pear), Environment-friendly Animal Farm (Korean cattle), Gwangju National Museum, Microbial Fertilizer Formulation Factory at Jang-sung county, and Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry.

President of CNU has received a medal
CNU President Dr. Kang Jung-chaee has received a medal from the Royal Government of Cambodia on April 26, 2007 at Chonnam National University (CNU). H.E. Dr. Chan Sarun, Minister of Ministry of Agriculture Forestry and Fisheries, represented the Royal Government of Cambodia gave the medal to him. We, Cambodian students at CNU, are very happy and say congratulate him for this medal award.

Khmer New Year Party 2007 in South Korea
There are many Cambodian people joined the Khmer New Year Party at Cambodian Embassy in Seoul, South Korea on April 14th 2007. Cambodian students at Chonnam National University also joined that party too such as Mr. Mao Spheareth, Mr. Huon Thavrak, Mr. Chea Sopheak Makara, Mr. Yoeun Sereyvath, and Miss Taing Sreiny. All people were very happy and enjoyed with Cambodian dancing styles such as Ramvong, Saravan, Lamleo, Talong, Madison,... until mid-night at that day.
On the other hand, some Cambodian students at Chonnam National University celebrated Khmer New Year party too. Miss Chhay Sreymom, Miss Ly Dalin, Miss Chhay Sreyleak, Mr. Hem Lina, Mr. Ty Sansouci, Mr. Kong Chakrya, and Mr. Nop Sophea Donang enjoyed with a Khmer Game named 3 dok 1.

The additional scholarship from "Open Sesame" Foundation
There are ten Cambodian students, two Vietnamese students, one Indonesian student, and one Mongolian student have been received the additional scholarship from Dr. Kyung-Ja Hong, chairperson of "Open Sesame" Foundation, at Dean office of college of Agriculture and Life Sciences on Friday 6th April 2007. The ten Cambodian students are Mr. Mao Sopheareth, Mr. Huon Thavrak, Mr. Khay Sathya, Mr. Chea Sopheak Makara, Mr. Yoeun Sereyvath, Miss Chhay Sreymom, Miss Ly Dalin, Miss Chhay Sreyleak, Mr. Hem Lina, and Miss Taing Sreiny. The Cambodian students would like to thank you very much to Dr. Kyung-Ja Hong, professor Dr. Joon-keun Park and professor Dr. Ro-dong Park, Dean of college of Agriculture and Life Sciences, for their take care and supporting.

President of CNU-CSA introduced Korean investors
On Saturday 31st March 2007, President of CNU-CSA, Mr. Mao Sopheareth, introduced Korean investors to H.E ambassador at Cambodian embassy in Seoul in order to survey the ability of their investment into Cambodia. The delegation was welcomed deeply from H.E ambassador. The interesting topic was strongly on Agro-Industrial plants. H.E ambassador also gave advice in other fields of investment history too.
